A love for Polaroids

My father had an old Polaroid camera and the photographs shot with that camera are now put up as prints all over my house. Unfortunately, it stopped working. Considering that these cameras are not available in India anymore, is there any way in which I can achieve the Polaroid look? I do not wish to spend too much time on complex software like Photoshop for this.

When Polaroid announced bankruptcy, there was a brief period where their products were not available even abroad. This was changed by something called The Impossible Project  that revived their products. You can order for their products through the Internet, but there are two inexpensive options that you can try.

Firstly, there is a free software called Poladroid that adds a Polaroid-like effect to get a high resolution photograph within no time. Alternatively, there are some interesting cell phone applications that allow you to simulate the same look.
