Germany Gets Decorated With Lomography!
To keep analog photography alive, Lomography has partnered with Das Telefonbuch to built Germany’s largest analogue map.
The unique project called LomoMap, was aimed to create a massive map of Germany with Lomo pictures. Since the start of photokina on 18 Septemeber, at Cologne’s main train station, visitors have been subjected to a massive 1000 mt square map of Germany which has been made out of over 1,50,000 lomographs taken by Lomography’s community in Germany.
The opening ceremony took place at Cologne’s main train station, next to the famous cathedral. Moreover, The Mahala Rai Banda from Romania also performed at the ceremony while the visitors enjoyed the pictures. A LomoMap competition was also organised where the winner received 10,000 Euros.
With the entire photography industry turning towards digital, Lomography continues to celebrate the anolog form of photography even today.
